I must admit I am a hugh steven king fan. He is a brilliant writer and he has a warped imagination. I have seen all his movies, the first one i saw was christine when I was 14 and boy would i love to have a car like that, no one would want to be your enemy. I must admit that I haven't read any of his books yet, I tried to read IT, but it just got confusing so I gave up. My mum has his books even the ones he rote under Richard Backman. And she is always telling me about what the books about and how different they are to the movies. One book I do plan on reading soon is Rose Madder, which is about a lady trapping her abusive husband in a painting. My mum loves it and I lost count how many times she read it.

But if you like horror, mystery and don't mind trippy story lines Steven King is the one to give it two you, oh and be prepared to six for anywhere between 4 to 6hrs with some of his movies.

Hey Mystical,

Rose Madder is long, but worthwhile. Other King films I have viewed include
Christine(All time favorite),The Stand, It and a few others
I cannot remember the names of.As for books I don't own any personally, but would consider it.
An accomplished writer for sure ,with a dedicated fan base.

Yes i have to agree about Christine and I want the car. "IT" I found was a difficult book to read as there is some much juming back and forth, a lot more than the movie. I want to read the Dark Tower books too, my mum said they are really good.

Steven has a new movie out. Saw it advitised on telly the other night. I think it was called The Mist. Looks good and it is another one of his trippy movies, I can't wait to see it. huh.gif

Rose madder wasn't long compared to some of his other novels. The Stand being one. Rose Madder only had 477 pages if im not mistaken.
Christine was a great film though i must agree. It was b grade as sin but thats the way a good horror should be.

I am with you guys on this one though, the guy can write a bloody good horror story, second closest is definitely Dean Koontz

mysticalmagic- 12-22-2007
Yes I forgot about poor old Dean Koontz. He has a warped imagination too. Have seen a couple of his movies. One I can remember is about a writer writting a horror book which comes to life. I haven't read any of his books though, but I know some people have and they love the books

DarkDreams- 12-23-2007
Hey guys,

Don't own any Dean Koontz books, but i come across all sorts of stuff from
Lifeline that may help our cause, let me know what you are looking for.
Perhaps something for a hunt,or research purposes.

don't think you will find any info for ideas for hunts in these books they are just stories. Your best bet would be to look for books on the paranormal by other investigaters.

Mystical,

Well thats not what I meant but yeah,it's a good source of research
and reference material.Amityville is purely recreational reading.
