One Particular Investigation

A few years ago in my younger more amateurish ghosthunting years, i visited Gormandale cemetery which for anybody from the south east side of Victoria may know of.
And i visited a grave which just happens to be the oldest grave in this cemetery, 1886.
The grave is inhabited by a 6 week old child and surrounded by a very old metal fence.

On this particular night my team and i decided to take a crystal along with us, to substitute a pendulum. The crystal was charged by a medium that we knew of.
I tied a ribbon around the crystal so it made a loop to hang over my fingers. The shape of the ribbon resembled an upside down triangle with the crystal at the bottom.

I then hung the crystal on the end of the ribbon over the young childs grave and began to ask questions. For example was he here with us now, and to tug on the ribbon to let us know.

It didn't take long to get a reply. This young child started tugging like a fish does when it takes a nibble on your hook.
The strange thing was that the ribbon was bending inwards very sharply, towards me, and every so often it would be one big bend inwards. the tugging was that sharp the two sides of the ribbon almost met.
I thought maybe the wind, but i swear there was not a breath of it that night.
Anyway this went on for maybe 5 minutes, constant bending of the ribbon.
It just seamed so typical that a small child would find a ribbon so fascinating.
It didn't seem to be interested in what any of us had to say, it just kept on playing with this ribbon.

Oh yeh i forgot one important detail, during this whole experience the crystal remained motionless, it did not move at all, it was completely stiff and so was the other side of the ribbon. Now you would think if it was the wind or me the whole ribbon and crystal would move not just one side.

It was a memorable night for all of us and one we will never forget.

Gormandale Cemetry was always a place of rest
for the dead whenever
I went to explore.
A team that I went with propped a camera on one site
for a time to scan for orbs,and any activity but we didn't catch anything.

We have investigated that cemetery at least a dozen times, i think we over over investigated that place. I think i could tell you where every crack is, in that little hut...lol

Yeh it does, in haunted locations Australia or Other Countries, but dont worry about it you are only a newb!!!

Yep Darkmoon & Killermoon, you can over investigate a suspected haunted place, the spirits get too use too and aware of you. After a while you become just part of the place the same as they do and they take little notice. Also there is the surprise factor, investigtaions are always best in the beginning at any one place, because you are strangers and a new novelty for them, they enjoy the attention and getting the reactions.

Awesome idea Killermoon to use the cyrstal as a pendulum, how freaky, recon your right, the spirit child was fasinated in the ribbon, it wouldn't have understood the crystal hanging from it was for communicating, the child would have seen it as a pretty play thing. Even in the strongest wind the ribbon wouldn't have bent to such a capicity, the whole thing would have blown about other wise. It take quite a strong sort of breeze to blow a solid crystal hanging from a ribbon around.

totally agree with you there, the young child will not even try to communicate with us anymore like he did in the beginning.

If you ever go back there again Killermoon, you can try to encourage the spirit child to come forward to play some games with you. You know same way you encourage a shy child to come out of their shell and play with friends.

i agree it would be good to try again. make sure you use that same crystal again and maybe you could also try a few experiments as well, like using two different types of people to communitate with it say one person whom is a parent and one who is not and see what happens. And they do say that a child knows if you are a parent and will not be as shy with that person as a person who is not a parent.
