hi all
I have a few experiences with the paranormal, but the main one that sticks with me is the one I had when I was 16 years old. One night I woke up out of a dead sleep (I can't remember what woke me though) and i remmember looking over at my window when I saw my curtain move, and not just a move like a breeze, I mean like a strong gust of wind. I had to look twice and had to think as I knew my window was shut as it was the middle of winter and very cold. I just brushed it off thinking my mind playing tricks. When I heard loud footsteps. I lay in bed just listening for a minute, the sound was coming from the other end of my room. I looked over towards my bedroom door and I could see a dark figure standing there just could not make out a face or anything like that. At first I thought someone had broke into the house. But as I looked harder the figure looked just like a shadow. I suddenly become very scared and lay frozen in one spot not able to take my eyes off the figure. Then I heard the loud footstep again and the sound slowly got closer to me, and as that got closer I could hear deep heavy breathing. The noises seemed to get closer and closer so close that I could feel the cold breath. Then the most weirdest thing happened i suddenly sneezed, and freaking out in fear I turned my lamp on that was beside my bed. I sat up in shock as I could see nothing, hear nothing. I checked my window and yes it was shut. Then I got the courage to get up and check the house. I went staight into the kitchen (as it was next to my bedroom) and grabed a frying pan ready to hit an intruder, but as I went around checking doors and windows everything was lock, nothing broken and my parents and younger brother were fast asleep. After that night I had to sleep with my lamp on and it took me over 6 months before i would sleep with it off. I have had a few people say that it was just a nightmare (but they didn't believe in the paranormal), but I know i was wide awake and I know what I heard and saw and felt, but to this day, i still don't know who or why, and it has never happened again, but I still get jumpy when I am alone at night. unsure.gif

Mystical magic,

That is scary. Often these type of encounters come from the childhood fear of the dark or from movie influences. But yours was over the age of 13,and so is this one.
It happened to me just recently- it's a common experience for a lot of people. I had my back to my bedroom, facing out of the window with a cigarette.
I was sure that there was someone behind me. The door was opened to my bedroom, but my house was locked. Of course,I felt it so strongly and turned around ready to say hello to one of my weird friends or a family member. But I was alone in the room. So I believe that I did feel a presence, but not of the living type.

Till next time.

yes this quite common and most people would experience this. It is usally in the form of being touched some where like the back of your shoulder or top of you head, and the feeling that someone is behind you, when there isn't.

This does not mean a ghost though, as everyone has what is called spirit guides. These are spirits that stay with us through out our lives, trying to give us some guidance during life. So most of the time it is them just letting you know that they are there, and they do that by entering your aura, which causes these feelings you get.

But check it out anyway, cause you never no. You investigate cemertaries so it is quite easy to pick up a stray spirit that is just lingering around.

Hi Mystical,

I am thinking of a particular time a long time ago when I was feeling quite negative about life.I disliked strongly where I was living. But that has finished now.
The recent experience was about a week ago,the only thought I had prior to the incident were unstructured and random, and afterwards just curiousity and the feeling that there had to be something there.
But that depends of course on what everyone beleives about something. Thanks for your reply.
