I would love to know from any of you guys in the states whether you have ever been to amityville house. I realise the owners do not let anybody in, but i would love to get ppls opinions on this house. I have seen the movie (the original one) about the lutz family and find that it was souped up for hollywood, but what is the real story?
Do you know of anybody that has investigated this house?
From my knowledge the owners have played down the haunting of this house by saying that since they purchased it, no paranormal activity has occured.
I find this house a very interesting topic because so much mystery surrounds it.
i have never been there but would love to go. I have seen the movies heaps of times and have seen the documentary on it as well.
I do know that no one can get into the house, not even the media, and the people that live there say that nothing happens. So I would love to check it out just to see for myself i think.
Good Luck! anybody that goes to see amityville house will just have to sit and ponder from the street.
I on the other hand would sell my soul to spend one night investigating that house.....lol
Yep I am right there with you.
Hi guys.
As far as that goes I can categorically state that I read the book in Year 9,
but doubt I have seen the movie. I'm sure that the movie is entertaining, but usually for research or authenticity value the book is always the best bet. I'm sure many agree.

I read the book to, of course it was very different to the movie, and im talking about the old 1970's version.
The book in my opinion offered much more though.
But that doesn't deter me from the fact that i would love to spend one night in that house.
so where can i get a copy of the book. I never knew there was one out on it. Most libaries around here are pretty crap so i doubt borrowing it would most likely be out of the question.

Hey Mystical,
Try a site of Steven King online,a fan web site, or a Melbourne book store (They are bigger than ours.) Maybe a book exchange.
Dark Dreams.
Steven King didn't write it, my mum had a copy of it but i dunno if she has still got it. Hopefully she will see this post.
